Application process

1. Download the appropriate proposal form:
   • Research proposal
   • Systematic review / meta-analysis
   Please note you will need to fill in both forms if you are submitting a proposal for meta-analysis/systematic review.
   
   
2. Fill in the proposal form as requested and sign it
   
   
3. Send the signed proposal form to ehra@escardio.org

Review process

1. Fill in the appropriate proposal form and send it to ehra@escardio.org
2. Once the proposal has been submitted to ehra@escardio.org, a confirmation of receipt will be sent to you (within 72 hours)
3. Your proposal will be shared with the EHRA SIC Advisory Board for a first review (10 days)
4. If approved in step 3 then you will be invited to present your proposal in the next EHRA SIC monthly call
5. Following your presentation a voting round will take place amongst the SIC (4 weeks)
6. You will be informed of the decision following the voting round approx. 4 to 6 weeks after the proposal was presented in the SIC meeting.

Whether your proposal is approved or declined you will be informed after steps 2 and 4.

Approval process

The committee will provide you with the results of the review process together with additional details.

• Accepted for development to a full project 
• More specific details needed to reach the decision  
• Rejected

If the proposal has been accepted, further timelines will be agreed between the EHRA SIC and the submitter.

Among accepted proposals, EHRA may prioritise specific research topics according to its current agenda.
