Registration information

Heart Failure is the annual congress of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC.

Registration online services will open on 3 November 2017.

Registration Fees

The registration fees include VAT. Please read the General Conditions.

(1) Nurse registration : A statement on official letterhead proving your Nurse status, both signed and stamped by your Head of Department, will be requested during the registration process.

(2) PhD Student : A valid student card or any document proving postgraduate student status will be requested during the registration process.

(3) Basic Science & Nurse abstract presenters: submitters of accepted abstracts under these categories will receive instructions after abstract results are announced (February 2018) on how to benefit from this special fee. N.B: Abstracts submitted in the wrong category at the time of the submission will be reclassified by the scientific programme committee during the reviewing period.

Undergraduate medical student registration

Undergraduate medical students can apply for a free registration via an online form which will be available from 3 November.

Registration will be confirmed after verification of your credentials.

Fees include

  • Access to scientific sessions and the exhibition area
  • Final Programme and Industry Programme
  • Access to the online Abstract Book  

A paper version of the European Journal of Heart Failure in 2019 can be purchased during the registration process for a €50 additional charge.

Press registration 

Online registration services will open on 3 November.

To get your Press accreditation and register for ESC Congresses & Events please visit the ESC Press Office web pages and learn more about our registration process.

Please note that the ESC Press Office will verify your credentials before giving you any accreditation.

Company or media outlet business cards or membership cards will not be accepted as valid. Press registration is not available to Industry or its Public Relations representatives, event management, marketing or communications representatives, even if they have a valid press card.

Certificate of Attendance

The scientific programme of the Heart Failure 2017 congress will be submitted for review. As a reference, please note that Heart Failure 2017 was accredited for 21 hours of CME credits.

Official Agency for AIFA submissions (Prerichiesta AIFA)

According to Italian legislation, any Marketing Authorisation Holder or pharmaceutical company responsible for the commercialisation of a drug, which organises or helps to organise, whether by direct or indirect funding in Italy or abroad, a congress, or a meeting on topics in any way related to the use of medicines, shall notify the competent Unit of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) at least 60 days before the date of the event to ensure that these adhere to strict technical criteria and aim to provide further knowledge in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, biochemistry, physiology, pathology and clinical medicine.

AIM has been appointed as the official agency for AIFA submission to support sponsors and exhibitors with these formalities. Pharmaceutical companies which require the authorisation from AIFA are advised to contact:
