(1) Nurse registration : A statement on official letterhead proving your Nurse status, both signed and stamped by your Head of Department, will be requested during the registration process.

(2) PhD Student : A valid student card or any document proving postgraduate student status will be requested during the registration process.

(3) Abstract presented in Basic Science: you must be assigned as the presenter of an accepted abstract in the Basic Science category. Abstract results are expected late February

Press registration

To get your press accreditation, please send a request to with the mandatory following credentials:

  • A valid and nominative press card or an appropriate letter of assignment
  • Three recent published articles (cardiology, health-related, or ESC event related)
  • A scan of the embargo form dully filled out

Press registration is not available to Industry or its Public Relations representatives, event management, marketing or communications representatives, even if they have a valid press card. Hotel reservations

We recommend you book your hotel room through the only official housing agency. Please be aware that unauthorised and fraudulent agencies might not deliver what they promise.

Invitation Letter

A customised invitation letter for visa purpose is available for download through your My ESC account. Such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates raise travel funds or obtain a visa. Please note, however, this does not bind the ESC to provide financial support.

Certificate of Attendance

The scientific programme of the Heart Failure 2017 congress will be submitted for review by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). As a reference, please note that Heart Failure 2016 and 4th World Congress on Acute Heart Failure was accredited for 21 hours of CME credits.

Official Agency for AIFA submissions (Prerichiesta AIFA)

According to Italian legislation, any Marketing Authorisation Holder or pharmaceutical company responsible for the commercialisation of a drug, which organises or helps to organise, whether by direct or indirect funding in Italy or abroad, a congress, or a meeting on topics in any way related to the use of medicines, shall notify the competent Unit of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) at least 60 days before the date of the event to ensure that these adhere to strict technical criteria and aim to provide further knowledge in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, biochemistry, physiology, pathology and clinical medicine.
