ESC Working Group on Thrombosis news

ESC Working Groups

Dear Members,

We hope you all enjoyed the “ESC Congress 2021 - The Digital Experience” as much as we did. We would like to congratulate the young investigators that presented during the Young Investigator Awards Session in Thrombosis and especially the winner: Evangelos Tzolos of the University of Edinburgh with a presentation on “In vivo coronary artery thrombus imaging with 18F-GP1 PET-CT”. The session can still be watched!

This newsletter would also like to draw your attention to the young researchers community. For every newsletter, they co-write a commentary on the Paper of the Month with a senior nucleus member. This time they discuss that one month post-PCI DAPT may be enough in high-bleeding-risk patients, but seems insufficient after ACS: MASTER-DAPT & STOPDAPT-2 ACS trials.

To further broaden the interaction, the Working Group on Thrombosis Young Researchers would like to invite all fellow clinicians and scientists interested in thrombosis to join their friendly community on Facebook: any healthcare professional with clinical or scientific interest in the field of thrombosis, no matter age, location or professional background. They want to enlarge the thrombosis community worldwide by: -discussing and spreading the word of interesting thrombosis research news; sharing research with fellow colleagues in a friendly environment; inspire others to join educational courses, congresses etc. and finally invite others to discuss interesting clinical cases (with respect to GDPR). So, become a member today and get in contact with the thrombosis community!

On behalf of the Working Group,

Heleen van Beusekom, Communication Coordinator 2020-2022

Rui Azevedo Guerreiro, Coordinator of the Working Group on Thrombosis Young Researchers
