ESC Working Group on Thrombosis news

ESC Working Groups

Dear all,

This newsletter finds us on the doorstep of much needed summer holidays and the last opportunity, before the end of this season, to draw your attention to activities and issues.

  1. The ESC has changed the membership model of the working groups. As of August 16, 2021, all memberships will switch from a lifetime membership to an annual membership. To reassure you, membership will remain free. The expiration date will be set to December 31, 2021. Please do renew your membership as this is paramount for us to help organize courses and activities.
  2. The planned meeting for EuroThrombosis & Eurovessels has been postponed to October 2022. We hope we can meet in person again!
  3. The first sessions for the annual ESC congress have been recorded and there is one session that we want to draw your attention to: The Young Investigator Awards Session in Thrombosis. Below you can find the link to the meeting. It was a great session so do tune in and listen to these young researchers. The award will be presented at that meeting !
  4. To help you prepare for the annual (digital) ESC congress, you can find some suggested sessions. All sessions contain exiting lectures on thrombosis, from bleeding complications to pump thrombosis in ventricular assist devices. We hope to see you online!

Best regards and enjoy summer! Heleen van Beusekom, communications officer and Gemma Villahur, chairperson
