ESC Working Group on Development, Anatomy & Pathology

Dear Members of our DAP working group,

We hope this newsletter reaches you in good health, and that you will be able to enjoy the upcoming summer holidays.

In 2022 we will not organize an annual meeting, because the International Weinstein Cardiovascular Development and Regeneration Meeting will be held in the "Palais du Pharo" in Marseille, France from May 12 to 14, 2022. However, we are planning for a return to our normal schedule of annual meetings in 2023. In the interim we would also like to draw your attention on the ESC Congress 2021 – The Digital Experience. The program comprises many interesting sessions and we have suggested five sessions, which we think you will find interesting.

As our labs get back to normal, we will be highlighting papers that are of particular relevance to our working group and providing commentaries on particular papers. This month Duncan Sparrow has provided a short commentary to the interesting paper of Artinger and Monsoro-Burq on neural crest multipotency and specification.

Looking forward to seeing you in Marseille

Best wishes,

Maurice J B van den Hoff, Bill Chaudhry and José Maria Pérez-Pomares
