Message from the ESC Working Group on Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Dear members of the Working Group on Adult Congenital Heart Disease,

Our recently held EuroGUCH 2021 has been a great success. Although we had all preferred a face-to-face meeting, the online sessions were very well organized, and we could enjoy an exciting event with excellent presentations at the highest scientific level. On the other hand, the online format allowed the registration of a great number of delegates from many different countries, resulting in a record of participation in the history of EuroGUCH. Just to give you a few figures: 751 participants registered from 64 different countries, with a very high representation of 35% of participants under 40.

If you missed anything, the resources from the congress will shortly be available on the website here.

After this exciting meeting, we are all looking forward to the next EuroGUCH2022 to be held in Rotterdam on 12-13 April 2022. Save the date!

For those that miss the social interaction that Covid has taken away from our meetings, we have the opportunity to meet in the ACHD Academy Update LIVE that will take place in the beautiful city of Split, Croatia on 24-25 September 2021. This is an International Congress on Adult Congenital Heart Disease that is intended to be a post-Covid opportunity for our growing ACHD community to share scientific knowledge and also for networking.

I wish you all good health and best regards,

Laura Dos.

Communication Coordinator of the ACHD Working Group.
