General Cancellation Information

Will the congress be postponed to a later date?

The 2020 edition of EuroGUCH is cancelled. The next edition will take place in May 2021 in Seville, Spain. Check EuroGUCH 2021 for more details.

Registration

Will my registration fee be refunded and when?

Your registration fee will be refunded in full as soon as possible. We recognise the disappointment and inconvenience this has caused, and we are waiving our normal reimbursement policy.

How and where will I be refunded for my registration fee?

Please send your IBAN bank account number together with the registered participants name to the conference organiser (euroguch@kuleuven.be). They will refund the full registration fee to that account. If an invoice was made, you fill receive a credit note for this amount.

I cancelled my participation to the congress before it was officially suspended. Will I be eligible for a refund?

If you cancelled your participation before the official announcement, you will need to provide an official document stating that you were unable to attend due to travel restrictions. Please send it by email to the conference organiser (euroguch@kuleuven.be)

Transportation and Hotels

I am a presenter. Are there any actions to take in order to get reimbursed for the costs related to my travel / accommodation?

The ESC and KU Leuven are unable to refund any third party payments. Please contact your airline hotel or booking agent directly. If you purchased travel insurance, you should contact your provider for information and next steps.

I am an invited member of faculty. Will the ESC cancel my flights and hotels or should I do it myself?

Your hotel accommodation has been automatically cancelled.

In order to seek the reimbursement of your travel expenses:

• If the conference secretariat reserved your flight: these will be cancelled on your behalf; no action is required on your part.
• If you booked your own flight: please contact the airline or booking agent directly to claim a refund or voucher. In case of issue, please contact the ESC Working Groups team (workinggroups@escardio.org) at your earliest convenience.

Science

I am an abstract presenter. Can I submit my abstract to another event?

Yes. Publication is linked to presentation at a congress, so it will not be published anywhere unless you do.
