Important update on FCVB 2020

European Society of Cardiology
ESC Councils

Each passing day we witness the rapid spread of COVID-19. It is preventing the gathering of even small numbers of people. In this unique context, ESC leadership and the Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science1 regret to announce that FCVB 2020, planned for 23-26 April in Budapest, will not take place as scheduled. Fortunately, however, we have been able to secure new dates and can confirm that FCVB will take place from 22 to 25 April 2021, in Budapest.

Also, with severe measures being taken by hospitals to deal with the epidemic, a rapidly growing number of delegates have informed us that they are unable to travel.

As a result of these factors and because it is our responsibility to protect the health of our faculty, delegates and staff, postponing FCVB to April 2021 was the only responsible course of action.
