This module provides a systematic approach to the assessment and epidemiology of patients presenting with acute heart failure. It examines the clinical background of these patients in relation to large published cohort datasets and the clinical implications these carry for clinicians. In this way it places acute heart failure in context, allowing clinicians to suspect, recognise and treat acute heart failure and its common comorbidities quickly and effectively.
The content provides the learner with a focused and interactive educational experience, written by experts in the field and based on the ESC Textbook of Intensive and Acute Cardiovascular Care, 2nd edition 2015 by Dimitrios Farmakis, John Parissis, Gerasimos Filippatos
