Format
The Career Counselling Sessions will be held as round table discussions.
Each table will bring together two faculty and four to five early career researchers to create discussions around the chosen topic in a relaxed setting.
People wishing to take part must register. Registration opens on 1 April.
Dates and Location
The sessions will last for 45 minutes and be held during the afternoon coffee breaks of the Frontiers in CardioVascular Biomedicine (FCVB) congress being held in Budapest, Hungary.

Sessions
Session 1: Visibility for collaborative networking

Session 2: Grant applications

- Why attend: Did you ever wonder if there is a secret to successful grant applications? Or do you want to learn tips and tricks about the grant application process?

Session 3: The importance of international experience

- When: Saturday, 30 April 16:10-16:55 CEST (afternoon break)
- Why attend: Why is international experience so important? What should you pay attention to when selecting an international lab?
- For whom: Early career researchers interested in obtaining international experience
Session 4: Selecting your scientific niche

- Why attend: Learn more about selecting your scientific niche, where to start, how to approach this selection and why is a niche so important
- For whom: Early career researchers interested in establishing their own scientific niche
How to Apply
- The activity is free but only open to Members of the Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science. Join here for free.
- It is aimed at early career researchers, typically under 40 years of age.
- Only people attending FCVB 2022 may register for these sessions
- You may only register for one career counselling session
- Registration is mandatory and on a first-come first-served basis
- Registration is not confirmed until you have received a Registration Confirmed email from ESC Staff
