This message is from the ESC Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science (CBCS) inviting all Working Groups and Sister Societies in the Council, as well as basic and translational researchers, to submit proposals for basic science symposia at ESC Congress 2017 in Barcelona.
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Herewith we would like to solicit symposia proposals for the 2017 ESC Congress in Barcelona. To generate a high quality scientific content for basic and translational science the Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science (CBCS) has developed a "Pre-Scope" process. In the past years this procedure has been very successful in delivering high quality proposals to the ESC SCOPE process ensuring selection of the best for the Congress. Direct submissions of basic science symposia proposals to the SCOPE process by individuals are normally unsuccessful. We therefore strongly encourage you to contribute again to this process. To submit your proposals, simply click on the "Submit" button below.
You are required to give:
At this stage no agreement of the speakers and chairs is required. The submitted proposals will be evaluated by the CBCS members and selected, modified or merged to generate a comprehensive and matching list of symposia proposal for the ESC SCOPE process. Further selection and refinement will take place in the Congress Programme Committee upon obtaining the results of the SCOPE grading. All invitations will be sent out from the ESC centrally. The primary focus is on the scientific quality of the proposals and their attraction to attendees of the ESC Congress. This may be based on state-of-the-art basic science content and/or relevant translational aspects. The submission website will close on 30 June to allow us to screen, review and discuss your proposals. On behalf of the CBCS we would like to thank you in advance for your support. With best regards,Lina Badimon, Chair of the Council on Basic Cardiovascular ScienceJeremy Pearson, Vice-Chair - Barbara Casadei, Past-Chair - Deborah Henderson, Secretary
"Golden rules" to help you submit your proposals.
Don't forget to inform your colleagues of 35 years and under that if they submit a "bench" abstract for the ESC Congress and it is accepted, the registration fee is waived.
