Call for abstracts

EACVI 2023, Barcelona, from 10 to 12 May

EACVI 2023 will be held in person in Barcelona, Spain. The congress programme committee is delighted to have the opportunity to reunite again with the EACVI community, so join us onsite to present your research!

The call for abstracts is now close.

The results will be announced mid of February. An email will be sent to each submitter.

Mark your calendar with key dates

  • Monday, 31 October 2022 - Opening abstract submissions
  • Friday, 6 January 2023 – 12:00 PM (noon) CET - Abstract submission deadline
  • Thursday, 12 January 2023, 12:00 PM (noon) CET - Abstract submission deadline extension
  • Mid of February 2023 - Abstract results announcement online. An email will also be sent to each submitter.

Presentation formats

All presenters will be required to present their research onsite in Barcelona, Spain

Selected abstracts will be assigned to different presentation formats:

Young Investigators Award Session (YIA)

Two YIA sessions will be held onsite and chaired by senior faculty members: one dedicated to Basic Science and another to Clinical Science. 

Each finalist will present the key points of his/her research followed by a Questions & Answers period led by a panel of experts who will judge the presentations and determine the winners and runners-up.

Finalists are required to present their research onsite in Barcelona.

  • Submit in this category to benefit from:
    • Free registration to EACVI 2023
    • Prizes: first prize winner (€ 1000) and two runners-up (€ 250), along with an award certificate
  • Selection process: the selection committee will review the final top-scoring abstracts to appoint the finalists. The selected abstracts will be presented to a jury in a dedicated session including a questions and answers section

Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence in Cardiac Imaging Award Session

One Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence in Cardiac Imaging Award session will be held onsite and chaired by senior faculty members.

Each finalist will present the key points of his/her research followed by a Questions & Answers period led by a panel of experts who will judge the presentations and determine the winners and runner-ups.

  • Submit in this category to benefit from:
    • Prizes: Award certificate for the winner and runner-up
  • Selection process: the selection committee will review the final top-scoring abstracts to appoint the finalists. The selected abstracts will be presented to a jury in a dedicated session including a questions and answers section

Moderated ePosters

The highest graded ePosters will be selected to be presented orally during dedicated Moderated ePoster sessions which will be held onsite moderated by senior faculty members. 

ePosters  

ePosters will be grouped by topic in daily sessions and showcased on dedicated screens.
