CompBioMed is a major Centre of Excellent in the EU Horizon 2020 research and runs for three years from 1 October 2016. It has innovation at the forefront of its aims, promoting interdisciplinary entrepreneurial opportunities driven by users’ needs. User communities come from academia, industry and clinical practice.
CompBioMed is keen to form partnerships throughout the world that will strengthen the project’s collaborative ouput. Industrial Partners participate fully in the Centre’s activities from the outset, and the number of Associate Partners is expected to grow continuously over the lifetime of the Centre.
The ESC Working Group on e-cardiology has joined this project forces by becoming an Associate Partner to help steer the future of computational biomedicine. This will create the possibility for Working Group members working in computer modelling to be part of dedicated initiatives in the next 3 years.
