Editorial December 2019

ESC Working Group on Development, Anatomy & Pathology

Dear colleagues,

The end of 2019 is close and we are thus approaching the beginning of a new exciting year (2020).

For our community, the great event of this last trimester of 2019 has been the annual meeting of the ESC WG on Development, Anatomy & Pathology (DAP).

The event was held in the city of Málaga (Spain) from Monday, October 14th to Wednesday, October 16th, 2019. More than 120 participants including keynote and guest speakers have made of this meeting a wonderful showcase for the science carried out in our working group.

In addition to the official program, we have also enjoyed a wonderful hands-on satellite session on cardiac congenital anomalies of the arterial pole of the heart, that was put together by Dr. L. Houyel and Dr. M. Jongbloed.

We believe the quality of platform presentations improve year after year, and the poster session for this meeting has entered a new era under the supervision of the WG young community.

Next year, this meeting will be hosted by the Max Planck Institute at Bad-Nauheim in Germany. It is for sure that with your contribution this meeting will be a success.

Best wishes,

Prof. José Maria Pérez-Pomares, Chairperson
