ESC Working Group on Development, Anatomy & Pathology

Dear colleagues and friends,

I hope these lines find you doing well in these difficult times. The COVID-19 pandemia has affected all of us in a way for another. For those having clinical duties this is, no doubt, a hard moment. For those other with research and teaching responsibilities, this health crisis is challenging our previous routines and behaviours. But lessons should be taken from these unique situations, and it is time that we all realize the importance of our research and cardiovascular health advocacy. We can still do much from home, thinking in the opportunities that lie ahead: new research topics to be tackled in our laboratories, exciting collaborations with other colleagues, or the initiation of new postgraduate mentoring and training.

Many ESC meetings scheduled for this Spring have been postponed. We are all under the limitations imposed by health policies, that evolve on daily basis. However, in order to keep alive important projects, we continue with the organization of our Annual WG Meeting in Bad-Nauheim (Germany). The abstract submission period has just opened, and we would like to encourage you to contribute with your science to the meeting as soon as you can, since the final program of the meeting very much depends on the abstracts submitted.

With my best wishes,

Jose M. Perez-Pomares

ESC WG DAP Chairperson
