Specialised meeting facilities, technical resources and a fabulous location on the French Riviera have all contributed to the success of the European Heart House. The headquarters of the ESC has become a unique conference and educational centre for cardiologists, as well as the ideal location for other medical meetings. The European Heart House is the headquarters of the ESC and accommodates the offices of its executive and administrative branch whose activities are increasing every year. It is the meeting and working point of the activities of the various bodies of the ESC including the Board, the Working Groups and the various ESC Committees, but also of external bodies such as medical devices and pharmaceutical companies, or other organisations and professional structures working in the field of medicine, under the aegis of the ESC. The European Heart House is a Conference Centre as well as an Education and Training Centre and offers the unique opportunity to all the bodies of the ESC, as well as to external partners, to meet and to work in very pleasant surroundings. An Education and Training Programme is organised at the Heart House for post-graduate education of European cardiologists. The European Heart House is also a centre for the activities of the Working Groups of the ESC. Thus, a large part of the building is dedicated to conferences with 10 conference and meeting rooms from 30 to 400 square meters, extremely modern audio-visual and technical equipment, a registration area, a large lobby, a restaurant and outdoor terraces. An additional short term objective is to become the hub of a European computer network collecting data on cardiology gathered by the various National Societies.
