Prof. Donna Fitzsimons

Professor Donna Fitzsimons is Head of the School of Nursing & Midwifery in Queens University Belfast, Northern Ireland. She has previously been Chair of the ESC Council on Cardiovascular Nursing & Allied Professionals (CCNAP), an ESC Board Member with responsibility for leading on Patient Involvement activities, and an elected Councillor on the ESC Board 2016-2018. She is committed to improving the quality of patient experience and care through education and research. Her research interests in cardiology include prevention, patient engagement and palliative and supportive care.
