Dr. Nina Ajmone Marsan

Dr. Nina Ajmone Marsan is a cardiologist, specialised in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, currently working at the Leiden University Medical Center (The Netherlands), where she is directly involved in guiding percutaneous procedures for structural heart disease. She has a  PhD in 3D echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and now supervises research projects, mainly focused on the clinical applications of imaging in valvular and structural heart diseases. With more than 250 publications in peer-reviewed journals she became a FESC for scientific excellence. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography and of Heart. She is involved in the EACVI as member of the Scientific Initiatives committee, as reviewer for the training grant applications and as faculty in the educational activities on echocardiography. She is the director of the course “3D echocardiography: meet the experts”.
