Our mission: To reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease.

Who We Are

We are a not-for-profit medical society led by expert volunteers. We unite National Cardiac Societies and cardiovascular subspecialty communities.

What We Do

Harmonising care, maintaining professional standards and informing European policy-makers.

The ESC comprises 28 cardiovascular subspecialty communities covering the full spectrum of cardiology.
They include our associations, working groups and councils, enabling us to provide in-depth, expert knowledge to all cardiovascular clinicians and researchers.

National Cardiac Societies

ESC National Cardiac Societies are involved in advancing ESC science and sharing this knowledge and best practice with their members.

The ESC has two administrative centres: The European Heart House in Biot, France, and the European Heart Agency in Brussels, Belgium.
