Summary

Since 2010, Heart Failure Awareness Days has been one of the most significant events on the HFA calendar. This is an opportunity to bring the realities of heart failure to the forefront of public awareness in order to be catalysts for change. Over the past few years, efforts have expanded through various activities such as TV and radio debates, leveraging social media platforms, publishing articles in national newspapers, setting up stands in city squares, organising children's art exhibitions, facilitating outdoor activities involving patients, hosting open house events at clinics, and many more.

Heart Failure Awareness Days 2024

This year, HFA Awareness Days will take place from 29 April to 5 May 2024.

The theme is "Detect the undetected: FIND ME"*, focusing on individuals who remain undiagnosed and emphasising the significance of early intervention, which can have a profound impact on improving lives and outcomes. The objective of the 25in25 initiative is to decrease mortality rates attributed to heart failure within the initial year of diagnosis by 25% over the next 25 years.
