  • Male patient, 59 year-old, with ishaemic heart disease, angina, history of myocardial infarction presented at the hospital with the development of chronic heart failure (CHF)
  • History of smoking, stopped after the myocardial infarction
  • Parents had atherosclerosis and stroke
  • Normal weight
  • Normal BP before development of CHF
  • No tendon xanthomas or arcus
  • Normal glucose levels
  • Total cholesterol 9.83 mmol/l, Triglycerides 1.58 mmol/l, LDL-C 7.93 mmol/l, HDL-C 1.18 mmol/l
