Committee roles and responsibilities
Advocacy Committee
The ACNAP Advocacy Committee aims to create a united healthcare professional and patient voice to improve cardiovascular health, through education, advocacy and research. Our mission is to speak up for cardiovascular patients and healthcare professionals, promoting patient-centered care, interdisciplinary working and shared decision-making.

Communication Committee
The Communication Committee deals with external communications, providing professional and scientific information to ACNAP members across different communication channels. The Communication Committee includes a dedicated team responsible for social media.

Congress Programme Committee (CPC)
The Congress Programme Committee drives the scientific programme of the annual ACNAP Congress.

Education Committee
The Education Committee is responsible for developing educational activities in line with the mission of ACNAP. This provides cardiovascular nurses and allied professionals with opportunities to continue their professional development and deliver evidence-based care to patients.

Membership & Communities Committee
The Membership & Communities Committee is responsible for the development and promotion of the ACNAP membership offer for the worldwide community of nurses and allied professionals.

National Cardiovascular Nursing Societies Committee
The National Cardiovascular Nursing Societies Committee engages and develops activities and projects that aim to meet the needs of the Cardiovascular Nursing Societies in ACNAP's network.

Science Committee
The purpose of the Science Committee is to provide leadership and strategic direction for the ACNAP nursing and allied professions science agenda.

Young Community (YoCo) Committee
YoCo is the voice of the young community of nurses and allied professionals and supports the future generation of specialists and leaders.
Candidates for this committee should be under 40 at the time of application.
Chair: Miss. Ana Filipa Gomes (Portugal)
What you should know
Each committee meets on average 4-6 times per year. Committee members should have relevant experience in the respective field of the committee and have time to commit to the activities of the committee.

- Attach your CV and cover letter to your application.
- Deadline: 31 August at 23:59 CEST
Your application will be reviewed by the relevant committee chair. The final committee composition will be reviewed and approved by the incoming ACNAP President, Prof. Izabella Uchmanowicz.
Should you be successful, you will be required to become an ACNAP Silver Member (if that is not already the case) and to have your ACNAP Silver Membership in good standing for the entire duration of your mandate.
