Acute Cardiovascular Care 2014 (Geneva, CH):

Special recognition award "ACVC Lifetime Research Award in Memory of Magda Heras"

Magdalena Heras passed away on August 4th, 2014. She was one of the founding members of the Working Group on Acute Cardiac Care and an active member of the first Nucleus where she worked actively for several years, taking the leadership of the development of the ACC certification program among other important responsibilities.

Magda's footprint is indelible. This is a great loss for ACVC and for the European cardiology. She always showed an outstanding dedication and compromise to patient care and science in cardiology.

In memory of Magda Heras, the ACVC board decided to create a special award that will recognise outstanding scientific contribution to research in the field.
