Focus on
Needs assessment and expected educational outcome
To provide physicians with evidence-based information on the best care for COVID-19 patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH). Although other webinars have dealt with the impact of COVID-19 on various cardiovascular conditions, no webinar until now has been designed specifically on the impact of COVID-19 PH patients. With mutations threatening another pandemic wave, attendees will receive a summary of new research from papers published on COVID-19 PH patients treated in different parts of Europe and beyond. This information may be even more useful and timely, given that the upcoming 2022 ESC Guidelines on PH will not likely cover this topic extensively: therefore, a gap may be averted.
Learning objectives
- the prevalence of COVID-19 in PH patients;
- the experience with COVID-19 in different parts of Europe and beyond;
- the outcome of PH patients infected with SARS-CoV2;
- the management of COVID-19 in PH – special considerations; and
- the ‘collateral damage’ by the COVID-19 pandemic on PH management.
