Summary

The HFA is pleased to announce its first HFA Clinical Practice Update Course on Heart Failure taking place from 25 to 27 November 2021.

This in-person/online course is designed with interactive sessions focused on the application of guidelines in daily practice, review of relevant clinical trials, in-depth discussion of clinical cases as well as troubleshooting.

This course has been adapted to accommodate the current situation and will therefore offer two options for attendance: in-person in Sophia Antipolis (France) or online.

In the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic, which the HFA is monitoring, the course may need to be adapted accordingly. The HFA will inform participants if the format should change. We are committed to offering continuing medical education during these challenging times.

The course will offer a comprehensive update in heart failure which serves as an intensive review on all aspects of heart failure, as well as a preparation to the next HFA Certification exam.

In addition, close interaction and ample time for discussion with faculty will ensure maximal knowledge transfer.

Participants can follow the course remotely but specific ‘how-to’ and ‘do it yourself’ sessions can only be followed by participants on-site.

The course in both formats will be submitted for application to EACCME accreditation.

This course will be a two-day review of heart failure on behalf of the Education Committee of the European Heart Failure Association (HFA) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). Faculty will consist of European experts in the field of heart failure.

Target audience

This course is developed for cardiologists who are

  • interested in heart failure
  • willing to pass the HFA Heart Failure Certification Exam
  • specialised in heart failure who wish to get an update on clinical practice
