Organised by the EACVI Heart Imagers of Tomorrow and the Turkish Society of Cardiology Cardiac Imaging Working Group, this teaching course is specifically tailored for young cardiologists in training.

Course objectives

The objective of the course is to deliver high level education on a specific topic in Cardiovascular Imaging (CVI).

The course programme will cover theoretical and practical classes, and will include the following activities: interactive lessons, case discussions, hands-on sessions.

By attending this hands-on course the participants will learn the following basic and advanced use of 3D echocardiography including:
- Image processing (cropping, orientation, multi-planar reconstruction etc.)
- Assessment of normal cardiac structures (cavities, valves, aorta, pulmonic vein ostia,interatrial septum, interventricular septum, left atrial appendage)
- Assessment of cardiac pathologies (valves, ventricles atria, aorta, prostheses, left atrial appendage, atrial septal defect, venntricular septal defect)
- Use of 3D TOE for guiding catheter interventions

Target Audience

The course adresses cardiology imaging specialists, cardiology specialty trainees, cardiac sonographers, radiology technologists, and other doctors with special interest in Cardiovascular Imaging.

Requests received less than 6 weeks prior to the course date, remain subject to availability.

The ESC reserves the right to cancel any of its Educational Programmes up to 2 months prior to the programme starting date. The ESC will not reimburse any travel or accommodation costs incurred by registered participants in the event of a programme cancellation under any circumstances.

Cancellation conditions

Up to 6 weeks prior to the course and upon receipt of a written cancellation, a refund of fees, minus a 25% of administrative charge, will be processed. No refund will be granted if the cancellation is done less than 6 weeks before the course start date. In the event of the cancellation of a course by the ESC, the full registration fee will be refunded. The ESC is not liable for any cost incurred by the cancellation of accommodation and travel arrangements.
