The Council on Stroke held its first Board Meeting on 6-7 January 2017. This meeting was held in the historical building of the Charles University in Prague. Interesting discussions stimulated many new ideas regarding how to increase the interest of cardiologists in stroke and how to improve the interdisciplinary cooperation between cardiologists, neurologists, strokologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, vascular surgeons and other specialties involved in this field.
