Travel Information

The Lisboa International Airport is located 7km north of the city centre.

From the airport, you can easily reach the city centre and the congress centre by public transportation.

Public transportation

From the city centre, you can reach the city centre by taking busses or trams from Cais do Sodré (downtown Lisbon):

  • Bus 732: Marquês Pombal/Outurela
  • Tram 15E: Algés/Praça da Figueira

Other busses are also available from the station R. Junqueira/Centro Congressos:

  • Bus 714: Praça da Figueira / Outurela
  • Bus 727: Estação Roma-Areeiro / Restelo - Av. Descobertas
  • Bus 751: Estação Campolide / Linda-a-Velha
  • Bus 756: Olaias / R. Junqueira

Train

From Santa Apolónia terminal station, take the blue Metro line to Baxia-Chiado station, and then change onto the green Metro line to terminus Cáis do Sodré.

From Gare do Oriente, take the red Metro line to the station Alameda and then change to the green Metro line to the terminus, Cáis do Sodré.

Taxis

The transfer by taxi takes approximately 15 minutes depending on the traffic and costs around €20-25. Taxis are always available in front of the airport building.

Passport and Visa

For participants from EU countries, a national identity card is sufficient to enter Portugal. For citizens of other countries, a valid passport is required, and for some countries, a visa is required. Should you have any doubt about the need for an entry visa, please contact the Portuguese Embassy or Portuguese Consulate in your own country.
