Confirm the abstract presentation

STEP 1 - The submitter must sign in to her/his My ESC account with the email and password used at the time of submission to consult the abstract presentation day, time and format. 

STEP 2 - The submitter must select and confirm the presenter from the list of authors by 17 March 2023.

STEP 3 - The presenter selected in STEP 2 will receive instructions on how to confirm the presentation and submit the related agreement form. 

This confirmation should be done as soon as possible to ensure the abstract information is accurate in the scientific programme.

STEP 4 - The presenter must register to the congress - you benefit from the early fee until 21 March 2023.

STEP 5 - The presenter can start preparing her/his presentation to upload it by the set deadline, as indicated in the agreement form.

Not only will your science feature at the congress, but it will also be published in the European Journal of Heart Failure (June 2023), and gain extra visibility on ESC 365, the cardiology knowledge hub.

Key dates

End February 2023 - Abstract results announcement. An email will also be sent to each submitter.

21 March 2023 - Early fee registration deadline.

Mid- March 2023 - Upload opening.

20 April 2023 - Deadline to upload your presentation and register for the congress.

All presentations are planned to take place in-person in Prague.

Accepted abstracts are organised in different session types throughout the programme

Awards sessions - Young Investigator Award Competition

Two sessions dedicated to young researchers aged under 40 - selected for the outstanding quality of their work, and presenting top research in the field. 

All selected finalists will be receiving free registration to Heart Failure 2023.

With the opportunity for the winner to receive

  • €1000 Prize
  • An award certificate

The two runner up will be awarded with a €250 prize.

Each finalist will have 10 minutes to present the research, followed by 5 minutes Q&A from the Jury members.  
Scoring will be based on the following criteria:  Originality, Scientific Content, Presentation and Answers to Questions. 

The session will present recent findings in the field of Cardiology which can impact practice/research.

Awards sessions - Nursing and Allied Professions Investigator Award Session (NIA) 

A session dedicated to Nursing and Allied Professions - selected for the outstanding quality of their work, and presenting top research in the field. 

All selected finalists will be receiving free registration to Heart Failure 2023.

With the opportunity for the winner to receive

  • €1000 Prize
  • An award certificate

The two runner up will be awarded with a €250 prize.

Rapid Fire Oral Abstract

The highest graded abstracts have been selected to be presented orally during the rapid-fire abstract sessions which will be held onsite in Agora 2 moderated by senior faculty members.

Moderated ePosters

Moderated ePosters will be featured in a the Research Gateway area during the event in Prague. Sessions will be moderated by two chairpersons, experts in the topic.
In addition, presentations will be published on the Research Gateway (abstracts and clinical cases platform).

ePosters sessions

Selected research will be presented in an electronic poster format (ePoster) in the Research Gateway Area. Presenters will have the opportunity to casually exchange with the visiting audience onsite or invite colleagues to meet at the stations.

In addition, selected research will be published on the Research Gateway (abstracts and clinical cases platform) in an ePoster format. This platform will allow continued discussions during the event, with interaction functionalities such as rating the presentation, number of views, chat and comments.
