“We may not be able to meet in person, but through the wonders of technology, ESC Congress is connecting tens of thousands of cardiovascular professionals around the world with a simple click. Despite the challenges, we are here to bring you the latest trials – and a lot more!
The latest technology is uniting us, allowing delegates from more than 200 countries – many of whom are taking part in ESC Congress for the first time – to watch live presentations and discussions, facilitating interaction, and opening a new world of on-demand abstract-based presentations. Through the spotlight theme of ‘the cutting edge of cardiology’, we will also see how the newest advances reshape our profession and revolutionise patient care.
There is no huge convention centre to navigate this year, but to help you find your way around the vast programme, we start each day with our ‘Morning Menu’, where we highlight the day’s key sessions and presentations. Then you can choose one of ten video channels organised by topic where internationally renowned faculty will share their perspectives in Controversies in Cardiology, Meet the Experts and Live-in-the-Box sessions. To inform your daily practice, there will also be case-based symposia, Guidelines in Practice and ‘How Should I Treat’ sessions. A Special Sessions Channel will feature Named Lectures, Award presentations and COVID-19 updates. Late-Breaking Science Sessions will also be available daily throughout the on-demand programme.
In a spectacular show of science, the afternoon Live Sessions will bring you practice-changing Hot Lines and four new ESC Guidelines, with live commentary from panels of key opinion leaders. A not-to-be-missed Daily Wrap-Up will close the show each evening. There is also a great line-up of symposia sessions presented by our industry partners who have shown tremendous support for this year’s digital experience.
We can’t be together in Amsterdam, but we will be together in spirit – sharing our science – thanks to YOU, 90,000 participants from around the world, our faculty, abstract presenters and of course, the hard work of the Congress Programme Committee members and ESC staff. Welcome to the Digital Experience!”
