Abstracts results are now available.
The EACVI Scientific Programme Committee would like to thank all the contributors who have chosen EACVI 2023 to submit their original research.
You will need to sign in to your My ESC account.
Confirm the abstract presentation
STEP 1 - The submitter must sign in to her/his My ESC account with the email and password used at the time of submission to consult the abstract presentation day, time and format.
STEP 2 - The submitter must select and confirm the presenter from the list of authors by Wednesday 1 March.
STEP 3 - The presenter selected in STEP 2 will receive instructions on how to confirm the presentation and submit the related agreement form.
This confirmation should be done as soon as possible to ensure the abstract information is accurate in the scientific programme.
STEP 4 - The presenter must register to the congress - You benefit from the early fee until 7 March.
STEP 5 - The presenter can start preparing her/his presentation to upload it by the set deadline, as indicated in the agreement form.
Not only will your science feature at the congress, but it will also be published in the European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Imaging, the online supplement, and gain extra visibility on ESC 365, the cardiology knowledge hub.
Key Dates
- Tuesday 14 February 2023 - Abstract results announcement. An email will also be sent to each submitter.
- Wednesday 1 March 2023 - Deadline to confirm and select the presenter.
- Tuesday 7 March 2023 - Early fee registration deadline.
- Tuesday 28 February 2023 - Upload opening.
- Monday 17 April 2023 - Deadline to upload your presentation and register for the congress.
Presentation formats
All presentations are planned to take place in-person in Barcelona.
Accepted abstracts are organised in different session types throughout the programme:
Awards sessions - Young Investigator Award Competition
Two sessions, on Basic Science and Clinical Cardiology, dedicated to young researchers aged under 40 - selected for the outstanding quality of their work, and presenting top research in the field.
All selected finalists will be receiving free registration to EACVI 2023.
With the opportunity for the winner to receive
- €1000 Prize
- An award certificate
Two runners up will be awarded €250 and an award certificate.
Each finalist will have 10 minutes to present the research, followed by 5 minutes Q&A from the Jury members.
Scoring will be based on the following criteria: Originality, Scientific Content, Presentation and Answers to Questions.
The session will present recent findings in the field of Cardiology which can impact practice/research.
Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence in Cardiac Imaging Award Session
One Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence in Cardiac Imaging Award session will be held onsite and chaired by senior faculty members.
All selected finalists will be receiving free registration to EACVI 2023.
With the opportunity for the winner and runner up to receive an award certificate.
Each finalist will have 10 minutes to present the research, followed by 5 minutes Q&A from the Jury members.
Scoring will be based on the following criteria: Originality, Scientific Content, Presentation and Answers to Questions.
Oral Abstracts sessions
The highest graded abstracts have been selected to be presented orally during the oral abstract sessions which will be held onsite moderated by senior faculty members.
Moderated ePoster sessions
Moderated ePosters will be featured in a dedicated area during the event in Barcelona. Sessions will be moderated by two chaipersons, experts in the topic.
ePoster sessions
Selected research will be featured in an electronic poster format (ePoster). Presenters will have the opportunity to casually exchange with the visiting audience onsite or invite colleagues to meet at the stations.
