Why attend

Being a young professional working in an acute cardiac setting can be challenging and stressful, as acute conditions demand to act urgently and effectively. You will have the opportunity to interact with experienced professionals in the intensive and emergency fields who will give you advice on how to survive when dealing acute conditions, to better manage your time, to set priorities, to manage stress, to deal effectively with distractions and non-emergency situations and to develop your own way of critical thinking. Even though time management can challenge your everyday practice, you can learn how to own the day and ACNAP provides you an opportunity to get advice and inspiration!

Being part of a multidisciplinary team, especially when you are a young professional, is not an easy thing to do. The challenge is even higher when you need to lead the team.  You will have the opportunity to interact with experienced professionals, leaders in their fields, who will give you advice on how to stand up for your role within the team, to expand your leadership potential, to inspire your team, to share the decision-making policy and to show leadership skills. Regardless of the setting you are working in, you can be the leader of your team and ACNAP provides you an opportunity to get advice and inspiration!

How to apply

  • It is aimed at young professionals, typically under 40 years of age.
  • Only ACNAP Silver members attending ACNAP 2023 can register for these sessions.
  • You may only register for one career counselling session.
  • Registration is mandatory and on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Registration is not confirmed until you have received a Registration Confirmed email from ESC Staff : acnap@escardio.org
