EuroHeartCare 2020 Educational Grants

The Association of Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professionals is offering Educational Grants to nurses and allied professionals who have limited access to funding or difficulties to obtain financial assistance in order to attend the EuroHeartCare 2020 Congress.


Mandatory criteria

At the time of the application, you must be an ACNAP Silver Member.

Should you have not access to the application, this might be due to the fact that

  • your ACNAP Silver membership has expired
  • you are not an ACNAP Silver member

Eligibility criteria

Application reviewers will select 30 applications taking into account the following information:

  • Age :
    under 30y. old = 2 points ; under 40y. old = 1 point ; over 40y. old = 0 point
  • Country :
    low income country = 2 points; middle income county = 1 point ; high income country = 0 point
  • Professions :
    student/in training = 2 points ; nurse or allied professional= 1 point; cardiologist/physician = 0 point
  • Abstracts :
    submitted abstract(s) at EHC 2020 = 2 points

Please ensure that your "My ESC profile" is up to date. Check the fields “My personal details” and “My activities” in the section "View my profile".

The Grant

  • 500€ (Five hundred Euros) as a contribution towards costs of travel and accommodation
  • Complementary Congress registration; voucher to be picked up onsite on the first day of the congress


The grant is intended to be used for the EuroHeartCare 2020 Congress only (not possible to be transferred to another edition).

EuroHeartCare 2020 Educational Grant winners are required to sign the presence file upon arrival and departure (mandatory for payment of the grant) at a desk in the registration area. The payment of the grant money will occur after the congress.

All paperwork (visa, study leave, etc...) remains the responsibility of the applicants and potential costs arising from that, are to be covered by the applicant.

Depending on your country, a fee management might be deducted from the Educational Grant by the recipient Bank. In that situation, ACNAP can not be held responsible for the bank commission (around 10%).

Acceptance by the applicant through Educational Grant

Each applicant selected for the receipt of a EuroHeartCare 2020 grant, accepts the following: ACNAP is entitled to process your data, according to the 2018 EU data protection law. Any personal data submitted will be processed by ACNAP only for the organisation of the event. ACNAP assures that no data will be handed to other partners than data processing entities, collaborating with ACNAP.

The publication of his/her full name on the website of EuroHeartCare as well as during the conference (e-congress news) if deemed necessary by ACNAP.

No negotiations about the grant money is possible and not used funds cannot be granted in cash instead.

Not kept deadlines as set by ACNAP might result in the loss of the grant.


Application opens on Wednesday, 11 December 2019.

The call will close on 9 February 2020 (midnight CET).

Results were announced by email end of February 2020.
