Over 4 500 abstracts will be presented during the Congress in one of the following type of sessions.
Abstract results will be known early May.
The combination of original research abstracts with expert review and commentary on related topics.
These sessions features the top-rated abstracts in each topic, linking recent results with clinical care to guide future scientific investigation.
These fast-paced and interactive sessions will present key messages of ten original research abstracts.
Each presentation will be followed by a Questions & Answers discussion with the experts’chairs and the audience.
These sessions will be held in the Hub and Agora, in a casual setting which will allow presenters and audience to carry on the discussions after the session.
Selected for the outstanding quality of their work, four Young Investigators will present their original research in front of a jury as they compete for prestigious ESC Awards.
The Awards will be focused on on Basic Science, Clinical Science, Thrombosis, Population Sciences, Coronary Pathophysiology and Microcirculation, and new this year, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (Spotlight of the Congress)
This award aims to recognise significant contributions from new investigators in cardiovascular nursing and allied professions at European level.
These sessions are composed of seven original top rated abstracts which will be presented in electronic format.Research will be presented and discussed by the first author and two moderators during the coffee breaks.
The audience is welcome to join in the discussion. Presenters are in competition for the "Best Moderated Poster" to win a free registration for next year's ESC Congress.
A large plasma screen where the four highest scoring posters in each topic will be displayed and presented.
A discussant will visit the presenters during the dedicated viewing time to animate discussions.
