CME credits for ESC Congress 2020

ESC Congress 2020 - The Digital Experience has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 24 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

Each medical specialist should claim only those credits for the time that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

One CME credit has been granted per full connection hour to the event, for a maximum of 6 credits per day.
The EACCME® is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS)

How to receive your CME certificate

Your participation at ESC Congress 2020 entitles you to a maximum of 24 CME credits.

You will receive one credit for each hour you have spent online during the congress and a maximum of six credits per day as defined by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical.

To access your credits:

  1. Make sure you ticked the box “I am interested in collecting CME Credits (ECMEC®) for my participation” when you registered. If not, you are able to do it in your My ESC account.
  2. Please complete the EACCME evaluation form (Mandatory).
  3. Retrieve your CME certificate from mid-September in your My ESC account.

Participants from US and Canada

American Medical Association (AMA) and non-AMA members alike will be able to convert up to 24 hours of EACCME Credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. See information on the process to convert EACCME® credits to AMA credits.

 

Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

Live educational activities occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC® credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
