The aim of these grants is to encourage research and to support the development of professional careers towards the fight against cardiovascular disease.
Recognising that the current regulatory environment is likely to impact the direct sponsorship of clinicians and scientists to congresses, the European Society of Cardiology is offering 300 Educational Grants for ESC Congress 2020 in Amsterdam.
Educational Grants are offered to healthcare professionals, clinicians and researchers who have limited access to funding or difficulties to obtain financial assistance in order to attend the Congress.
Successful applicants will receive €850 as a contribution towards the costs of travel and accommodation and will also benefit from a free congress registration.
There is no strict age limit, the applicant is required to complete all mandatory fields and upload a CV and a copy of an identity document.
All healthcare professionals in the cardiovascular field who are ESC Professional Members are eligible to apply.
Priority will be given to applicants who are first-authors or co-authors of research submitted to ESC Congress 2020 as well as young cardiologists and those from lower & middle-income countries members of the ESC.
Restrictions
Previous years’ awardees (2017, 2018 and 2019) are not eligible to apply for ESC 2020 Educational Grant
You cannot apply for multiple ESC 2020 Congress related grants within the European Society of Cardiology grant offer. However, applying for a sub-speciality congresses related grant is not disqualifying.
Submissions open from 16 December 2019 to 15 March 2020.
Results notification: end of April / early May 2020
ESC Congress is a unique opportunity for learning, exchange and practice enhancements. Over 32,000 delegates meet every year and make it the must-attend event in cardiology in the world.
