ESC Asia with APSC & AFC

Original Research and Clinical Cases are essential contributions to stimulate scientific exchange and networking.

The Clinical Case and Abstract programme has been created with the objective to highlight the excellence in Science from the region and to benefit from an international platform for scientific exchange.  

Abstract Programme

Based on Scientific Merit and Regional Origin, a selection of the top score abstracts presented during ESC Congress 2020 – The Digital Experience has been selected to be featured as “encore” presentations during ESC ASIA with APSC & AFC.

Call for Clinical Cases

You have a great case that you want to share?

Submit it to get a chance to present it during ESC Asia with APSC & AFC.


You will be redirected to the dedicated online Clinical Case Submission Platform.

Clinical Case Submissions are reserved for cardiologists under 40 at the time of presentation. The case must be submitted by the 1st author who will de facto be the presenter. 

First author’s birth date will be the qualifying point to validate the submission. Cases with non-eligible birth dates will be automatically removed from the reviewing process. 

Submission deadline is Wednesday 4 November 12:00 noon CET Paris Time. 

Results will be announced mid-November. 


Your Clinical Case must be Clear, Educational, Practical and REAL – The purpose of a clinical case presentation is to communicate diagnostic reasoning in the light of the current ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines providing a clear description of the patient’s condition and further management options based on these guidelines. Your case needs to be educational and not necessarily rare or unusual.

The best rated clinical cases will be considered for publication in the ESC Clinical Case Gallery. 

The European Heart Journal – Case Report will offer a publication, free of charge, to one of the best rated cases. 


Young Cardiologists Clinical Case Competition – 

The best rated cases will be selected to be presented during the ESC Asia Live Programme. During the session Presenters will compete in front of a renowned panel of experts to win the 1st prize (a free registration for ESC Congress 2021). The Runner up will receive a Free Registration for ESC ASIA 2021.
