The 32nd Pan-Hellenic Congress of Cardiology 

The 32nd Pan-Hellenic Congress of Cardiology organised by the Hellenic Cardiological Society took place in Thessaloniki on 20-22 October 2011.

The 32nd Pan-Hellenic Congress of Cardiology was a real success with more than 2300 registrations, showing the huge interest for cardiology and the high quality of topics presented.
221 posters and 47 research protocols were exposed.

Prof. Vardas, ESC President Elect was the key note speaker of the Opening ceremony that took place on the Thursday evening. He spoke on Cardiovascular medicine in Europe - Challenges, Weaknesses and Prospects.  

  This very well-appreciated speech was then followed by a live music concert of “Hippocrates’ Oath” by the Symphony Orchestra, Municipality of Thessaloniki (56 persons), the Choroid of 80 children and 4 main singers that was held in the Music Hall of Thessaloniki.
The official dinner of the Hellenic Cardiological Society was held in the splendorous Polis Convention Palace. Prof. Vardas (ESC President Elect) and Prof. Parcharidis (President of the Hellenic Cardiological Society) were heading the main table.

The next Congress of the Hellenic Cardiological Society will take place in Athens, 1-3 November 2012.
