As a member of the Spanish Society of Cardiology you are automatically a member of the European Society of Cardiology and the ESC Community.
The Spanish Society of Cardiology (Sociedad Española de Cardiología) is a non-profit scientific and Professional organization dedicated to:
- Raising the level of knowledge concerning the heart and the circulatory system,
- Advancing the prevention of cardiovascular diseases,
- Improving survival and quality of life of the patients.
The members of the Society are cardiologist or other professionals involved with heart disease.
The CME program includes once a month seminary at the Heart House.
The Working Groups are directly related to the Vice-president although they have "autonomy" in programming their annual meeting.
Their Committee members are elected among the SEC members every 3 years.
The Spanish Heart Foundation (Fundación Española del Corazón) helps to prevent cardiovascular diseases through educational programmes, fund raising to stimulate cardiovascular investigation and to promote the rehabilitation of cardiovascular patients.
