Created in 1976, the Moroccan Society of Cardiology counts 450 Cardiologists.

The main objectives of the Moroccan Society of Cardiology are to:   

  • Disseminate cardiovascular scientific research throughout Morocco,
  • Ensure a high quality of continuous training for Moroccan cardiologists
  • Develop guidelines on cardiology practice for communication in Morocco.

Yearly scientific activities of the Moroccan Society of Cardiology include the organisation of the:

  • “National Days”,
  • “Working Groups Days” (February and May)
  • “Annual Congress of Cardiology” (December)

The scientific organisation of the Society is left to five related groups (Doppler Echocardiography, Congenital & Paediatric Cardiology, Arrhythmology, and Cardiac Surgery & Haemodynamics).
Scientific day programmes tackle all of the main cardiology themes in the form of conferences, workshops and symposia.
