Libyan Cardiac Society

The Libyan Cardiac Society is a scientific society aiming to decrease the burden of cardiovascular disease among the Libyan population. 

Objectives of the Society:

1. Contribution to the scientific research in the field of cardiology, cardiac surgery and peripheral vascular disease (PVD)
2. Contribution to promoting scientific level of the members and keeping them in touch with the latest information scientific researches and guidelines in the field of cardiology, cardiac surgery and PVD
3. Holding specialized scientific conferences and symposia and contributing to local and international conferences
4. Issuing the scientific magazines and periodicals dealing with cardiology, cardiac surgery and PVD
5. Cooperating with international boards and societies, especially the ESC
6. Contributing to field researches studies and performing campaigns in Libyan Jamahiriya within the field of preventive medicine in coordination with related specialized institutions and WHO
7. Strengthening the scientific relations and bonds between Libyan cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and PVD surgeons, and their colleagues abroad
8. Coordinating with the other health-related societies, across the entire medical spectrum.
