29-30 June 2007: ESC-EASD Guidelines on Diabetes, Pre-diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases Implementation Meeting

The European Society of Cardiology and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes have joined forces to produce evidence based guidelines for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases.
The purpose of the guidelines is to improve the management of: patients with overt diabetes; patients at risk of developing diabetes demonstrated by impaired glucose tolerance; and cardiovascular diseases in these patient populations.
These guidelines have been prepared by a team of experts drawn from both organisations and they provide both cardiologists and diabetologists with an invaluable resource of information and recommendations.
