BSE CHD accredited - EAE/AEPC re-certification programme
European Association of Echocardiography (EAE) and Association for European Pediatric Cardiology (AEPC) re-certification modalities for British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) Congenial Heart Diseases (CHD) accreditation holders.
Holders of the BSE accreditation in CHD who have been contacted on 19 September 2011 by the ESC Certification Office, have the opportunity to re-certify in CHD.
Process:
- Make sure you have a MyESC account, or create one.
- Enrol clicking on the 'register' button below - fee is €50
- Applications must be sent via email to ESCcertification@escardio.org
- Deadline to send re-certification files: 31 December 2011
- Results will be sent by email to the candidates circa 1 March 2012
Requirements:
- Re-certification ‘documents to submit’ check list

- Letter from the candidate's immediate supervisor / colleague
attesting to the number of studies performed by the candidate for re-certification.
- Copy of the candidate's initial BSE certification diploma.
- Proof of a minimum of CME credits (>50 hours), and photocopies of all CME certificates. The CME credits certificates must be numbered (from 1 to ...) and reported on the CME Credits submission form.

Alternatively, when CME certificates are not available, please provide certificates of attendance/ proof of participation and copies of final scientific programmes.

Re-certification certificates will be issued by the EAE for a period of 5 years: 2012 to 2017. Once this certification ends in 2017, the candidates will have to apply to the EAE/AEPC CHD re-certification programme.
