Welcome to the European Society of Cardiology. Our mission: to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease in Europe

ESC Global Scientific Activities

A programme of international ESC educational courses built around a global network of international partnerships.

Education is essential for improving and harmonising standards of diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

The European Society of Cardiology produces, organises and supports many scientific and educational activities, tools and products for cardiology professionals wishing to increase their knowledge and update their skills.

The ESC is currently comprised of 54 Cardiac National Societies from Europe and Mediterranean Basin.
Our activities and membership reach far beyond the boundaries of Europe, however, and we have another 34 Affiliated Cardiac Societies from arounf the world.

Using its network of national and regional partnerships, the ESC is reaching out to an even wider global audience, making us a truly international organisation catering to cardiology professionals.

The ESC GSA mission

  • Meet non-European demand for ESC science & knowledge
  • Build closer relationships with international organisations
  • Extend the ESC mission beyond European borders

To meet this challenge the ESC GSA Committee has initiated a number of partnerships with countries outside Europe who already organise significant national or regional congresses.
