Call for Abstracts

EuroPRevent 2014 - Global Cardiovascular Health

The Congress Programme Committee would like to thank you for submitting your abstracts for the premiere international forum where leading experts from diverse scientific fields in cardiology get together to discuss implementation strategies to improve global cardiovascular health.
Abstract results will be available by mid December 2013

In case you were not aware, the EACPR wishes to put a lot of emphasis on our abstracts of original scientific research and our young researchers. With that in mind, they have decided to choose a selection of abstracts to be integrated into the pre-arranged scientific content. This means that if your abstract is chosen, you will be presenting your research with our senior faculty to an enthusiastic audience! The selection of abstracts for the programme will take place after the submission deadline and the results will be announced at the same time as our traditional abstract results. See more incentives and initiatives.

Important dates

  • Abstract submission: Open from 23 August
  • Abstract submission deadline:18 November 2013
  • Early December 2013: Abstract review

Abstract-based sessions:

Oral sessions - Rapid Fire Presentations
Fast paced and Interactive - two sessions comprised of abstract presentations. Discussions will be dealt with by experts chairing the session. This new format allows for more exchange.
    • Young Investigator Award sessions (YIA)

Two sessions dedicated to Young Investigators where selected YIA finalists (four per each session) will present their research.
Sessions will be chaired by senior faculty members and presentations will be evaluated by a panel of renowned experts. The EACPR puts great emphasis on presentations by young investigators as they are the future of the field. We encourage you to attend the sessions!

- The selected presenters will receive a certificate and complimentary registration.
- The winners of each YIA session (two in total) will receive a prize of €2 500 on behalf of the city of Amsterdam
- The winners of each session will be invited to chair the YIA sessions in 2015.
- The winner from each session will be invited to publish in the Association’s journal: the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.
    • Poster sessions

Four poster sessions over three days. Presenters will briefly discuss the content of their poster in front of an appreciative audience during one hour break. A mentor will drive the discussion for a group of 10 posters and will tag the best poster as the "Judges Choice". Selected posters will be on display in a dedicated area until the end of the congress for a final selection. The three best posters will be awarded with a prize and a diploma.
This is an ideal platform to meet presenters, colleagues & peers in front of their research and discuss their findings.
