Interaction and knowledge sharing, professional communities from all horizons coming together. A great opportunity to explore many topics with experts as well as interact with international faculty members. The programme is organised around various session types.

New Sessions for 2011!

Clinical Imaging Sessions

New format to bring you the knowledge you expect in the most interactive and practical manner. Lead by experts, our Clinical Imaging sessions are patient’s oriented, case-based and linked towards patient management covering practical / technical aspects of the topics proposed.
These sessions are organised in collaboration with sub-specialities associations and working groups bringing their experts to explore our common fields of practice.

The best in 2011 in Valve Disease

Session coordinated by EAE young researchers who will present their extensive research on what has been presented in 2011 on Valve Disease.


Club 35 - HOW TO sessions

Discover in the Imaging Campus Section a series of HOW to / practical sessions dedicated to EAE young researchers  to enhance their abilities and learn from experts from their community.  see more -  

Controversies Sessions / Debates

Because it is not always straight forward, come and listen to Key Opinion Leaders debate on  Perfusion contrast echocardiography – Emergency Echo  - Heart Valve Disease

ECHO at JEOPARDY

Friday at 16h30 – We have revisited the game and turned it into an ECHO game – A session to learn and truly enjoy at the same time.

Not to forget our most popular sessions

Clinical Pathways Sessions will be made up of a lecture about the advancements of the topic followed by challenging cases read with the experts – largely attended last year, these sessions are re-introduced this year in the programme.

Wednesday Teaching course: 3 subsequent educational sessions to explore a topic in depth:

  • Mitral valve disease - from diagnosis to treatment, new prospects: course organised by the Hungarian WG of echocardiography
  • Aortic valve and Aorta
  • Contrast echocardiography
  • When and why to use Transesophageal echocardiography in decision making  course organised jointly with EACTA
  • Congenital heart disease in adult course organised with GUCH/EAPC
  • Cardiac function and mechanics course organised with the American Society of Echocardiography
  • Clinical application of 3D echo

Abstract-based programme

Oral presentation in lecture roomOral Abstract Sessions: Challenging new format in 2011!
Selected presenters will have the opportunity to present their research in front of a dedicated audience as well as in direct interaction with a panel of experts on the topics presented.
All sessions feature two chairpersons and an international panel of experts who will actively contribute to the session and interact with presenters on the research as presented. 

A challenging new interactive format!  Abstract Presentation Certificates will be awarded to all presenters.

  Young Investigator Award Session
Three selected finalists will present their research in competition to win the EUROECHO 2011 Young Investigator Award. This session also welcomes the ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) Winner 2011.

Your research in a poster format and presented to an appointed moderator in front of the audience in 5 minutes during inter-session coffee break times.

Five poster sessions - (morning and afternoon) featuring all topics. At each session you will find new research on your topic(s) of interest.
