Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction – state of the art

Discussion of diagnosis, assessment and treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction underlines the need for further clinical research in this area.

Beyond left ventricular ejection fraction: Tissue Doppler Imaging and Speckle Tracking In Clinical Practice

Session focused on systolic LV function, but experts underline that tissue Doppler and speckle tracking can also provide substantial insights into diastolic LV function.

Imaging Multiple Valve Disease

Cardiac imaging specialists call for broader perspectives to identify best practice for evaluation and management of patients with multiple valve lesions.

Controversies in monitoring disease

Transthoracic echo remains first-line imaging for monitoring of bicuspid aortic valve and screening for ischemia in patients undergoing radiotherapy, but CTA and MRA also have role to play.

Fortifying EACVI unity

EuroEcho-Imaging, which places the emphasis firmly on multimodality imaging, has become the flagship of our association. Now the largest CV imaging meeting worldwide, EuroEcho-Imaging 2014 promises to be more successful than ever thanks to the dedication of members of the Scientific Programme Committee and local hosts. Placing this year’s spotlight on 3-D imaging and acute cardiac care underscores how close we have come to bringing these developments to the bedside.  Read more

European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI)

EuroEcho-Imaging is the annual congress of the EACVI, representing members around the world with an interest in all modalities of cardiovascular imaging.  The EACVI's mission is "to promote excellence in clinical diagnosis, research, technical development, and education in cardiovascular ultrasound and other imaging modalities in Europe."

We look forward to meeting our valued members at the EACVI/ESC stand (B5). If you are not already an EACVI member, you can join us at the stand (or online) and find out more about all the opportunities and member benefits.

Find more information here about all our activities during the congress.

EBAC Accreditation

EuroEcho-Imaging 2014 is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) and by the European Accreditation Council in CME (EACCME) for 20 hours of external CME Credits. EBAC/EACCME credits are also recognised by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA).  Please refer to the AMA website for instructions to convert EACCME Credit to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™
