Dear Colleagues,
It will be a pleasure to welcome you to Paris during EuroPRevent 2008, the annual international congress of the European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation on 1-3 May.
"Paris is at its best in May" sang the famous Charles Aznavour… Spring time is when the French capital really awakens. Paris is the city of happiness and love but also intends to be that of cardiovascular health. This fall, Parisians discovered a new way of moving around the capital with the « Velib » campaign promoting the use of bikes to tackle pollution and its impact on ecology. While not only a green initiative, it also encourages Parisians to exercise and care for their health on a more regular basis. France's Prime Minister and President are leading for healthy lifestyles as they both practice regular exercise as shown in their TV appearances. |
|
Parisians and the French population in general have become more aware that to run a heart healthy life is vital. A concrete example is the smoking ban which was enforced in all public places this past January.
We invite all European cardiologists and health care people involved in cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation to join us at EuroPRevent and we look forward to exchanging experiences, upgrading skills and knowledge and proposing strategies to provide the best preventive cardiology together with you.
A bientôt... | Find out more:
