The Council has been developed from the Working Group on Cardiovascular Nursing (established in 1991) in order to provide an umbrella to coordinate the activities of cardiovascular nurses and allied professionals within various bodies of European Society of Cardiology. The actual transformation from a Working Group into a council, building and developing the new structure, will be our main challenge for the next few years. You may read more on the development of CCNAP, its activities and future goals in the editorial of the March 2007 issue of European Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing.  




The Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions is composed of several committees and is led by a Board. The Board Members from September 2010 to September 2012 are:
