Spreading the knowledge of thrombosis in basic and clinical cardiology in Europe

It is becoming increasingly clear, that thrombotic mechanisms are either significant contributors to the mechanism or are of major importance for the treatment of many if not most cardiovascular disorders.

The ESC Working Group on Thrombosis aims to foster the knowledge transfer from bedside to the bench and back to the bedside again on thrombosis related pathogenetic mechanisms and treatment options. We do this by organising courses, symposia, and congresses, contributing to ESC Task Forces and guideline writing committees and the writing of position papers where the evidence is less sound but clinical guidance none the less needed. The scientific exchange is further supported by grants, stipends, and awards issued by the working group.

We cordially invite everyone active in the field to join our efforts and become a member of or working group.
